Youtube massively overhauling website over three month period
In response to recent controversies, Youtube unveils new plan to implement significant new changes to youtube content filtering and monetisation. Changes will take place over a three month period contained Youtube Cleanup.
These changes will greatly affect how youtube videos are both uploaded and viewed. Throughout its twelve years, this may be its biggest change to date.
As those familiar with youtube may now advertisers have recently been pulling adverts from youtube out of concern over the bad brand association. Rather than implement many changes over a long period of time youtube has chosen to implement many changes at once to reinvigorate advertising.
Youtube is using this bold move to clearly show to both content creators and advertisers that they are listening and responding to feedback
